Four hundred and fifty grams of dark, thick black seed honey with its distinctive warm pepper bite and lightly bitter finish. The middle size, and the one most people settle on once they know they like it — enough for daily use without sitting in the cupboard for a year.

How to use:

• A spoon in the morning, as many take it
• Stir into warm milk before bed
• Use in marinades for lamb, where the pepper note works

• Single-origin floral honey — nothing added
• Natural crystallisation may occur; warm the jar gently to reverse it
