Moringa 50 gm — finely milled moringa leaf powder, vacuum packed.

Dried leaves of the moringa tree ground to a fine, bright green powder. The flavour is grassy and vegetal with a matcha-like edge and a clean bitterness at the back — closer to spinach or green tea than to a spice. A little goes a long way, which is why 50 g is the right amount to start with. Vacuum-packed to hold the colour, which fades with light and air.

How to use:

• Blend a teaspoon into a smoothie with banana and dates, which soften the bitterness
• Whisk into hot water with lemon and honey as a green tea alternative
• Stir into soups, lentils or dough at the end of cooking to keep the colour
